INNER JOURNEY OUTER EXPRESSIONS

Shuuu ! Boy is it a hard job to book air tickets for the trip to Aussie. We are using an organisation called International Organisation for M igration as they give a discounted airfare and an increased baggage allowance, which makes it all worth it when you are carrying your whole life aboard with you on the plane. But we have to be patient and persistent when only being able to deal with an organisation that is so popular with all those "getting out". I just hope in the end the tickets don't break the bank. To move onto another subject. Why it is that we as human always state that we respect other peoples opinions and beliefs and then start ear bashing them with what we believe and with such emotional venom the minute they raise an issue. I have just been involved in a debate on a forum that is bordering on ugliness regarding whether or not God exists between a Scientist and a group of Christians . The Next Step After receiving our Permanent Residence visa 305 days after the application was sent and received by Adelaide Skills Processing Center. The next step is booking flights to get to Australia. This is tricky because that this point we haven’t yet sold the house and if we do sell based on the latest price drop will there be enough time to process the transaction and get the money before we leave. But we do have to leave soon as we have to get our passports stamped or “validated” before the 19 of December but don’t want to fly as late as December as the airfares go through the roof , and at this point every cent makes the difference especially when talking about 30% hikes in season. My Girls On the 27 th of September 2008, I created this blog page to start documenting / recording what is about to become an interesting life as my Family and I: Kirsten - Wife Rebecca - Daughter Set off on a new adventure to Australia as we join the load shedding from South Africa to Australia. We will be moving to Adelaide and hope to fly on the 24 th November 2008. This will be the first time any of us is leaving the continent and will be doing so to live. So it will be very hair raising and at the same time exciting.  The reason Adelaide is the following: 1) Adelaide is a smaller city but is not miles from nowhere 2) The wide streets and colonial buildings  3) Dry summers (I'm sick of Humid Durban Summers) 4) According to opinion, Adelaidians seems to easier going 5) The topography, Spencer gulf, Kangaroo Island,Mount Lofty, which makes for interesting holiday spots and driving.
